This work, Incantation put to the parliament of crows, 2017, was developed during an artist residency at Shankill Castle, Kilkenny, Ireland, in June. It was shown in the group exhibition Tranformance, with artists Elizabeth Cope and Clare Ormerod as part of the Kilkenny Arts Festival, August, 2017. It includes a soundscape by Peter Houtmeyers, produced from recordings taken at Shankill Castle. While at the artist residency in Shankill, I produced around 200 cyanotypes responding to the Irish folk story off the Seanchaí who has long white hair containing all the history of Ireland. The work is a meditation on natural resources in response to environmental concerns.
